Education is no longer focused solely on knowledge acquisition but increasingly emphasizes the development of higher-order thinking skills, self-regulated learning, metacognition, and adaptive problem-solving competencies required to thrive in an uncertain and technology-driven world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this context, metacognition\u2014the ability to understand, monitor, and regulate one&#8217;s own thinking processes\u2014has emerged as one of the most critical competencies for learners, educators, educational leaders, and organizations. As digital technologies continue to reshape learning environments, effective educational management must also evolve by integrating evidence-based decision-making, learning analytics, artificial intelligence, and innovative leadership strategies that support personalized, inclusive, and lifelong learning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Despite significant technological progress, many educational institutions continue to face challenges in translating digital innovation into meaningful improvements in learning quality, institutional effectiveness, and educational equity. The growing integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Extended Reality (XR), Learning Management Systems (LMS), adaptive learning technologies, and digital assessment tools requires educators and educational managers not only to adopt new technologies but also to redesign pedagogical approaches and organizational management practices that foster critical reflection, ethical technology use, and continuous improvement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Furthermore, global educational systems are experiencing unprecedented changes driven by digital transformation, workforce disruption, sustainability agendas, and the increasing demand for future-ready graduates. These challenges require interdisciplinary collaboration among researchers, practitioners, policymakers, industry partners, and educational leaders to exchange innovative ideas, present cutting-edge research findings, and develop practical solutions for the future of education and educational management.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Responding to these global challenges, the 5th International Conference on Educational Management and Technology (ICEMT) 2026 provides an international platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, industry experts, and graduate students to discuss emerging issues, share research findings, and establish collaborative networks.
